Booking Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you buy tickets or sign up for events through hatherleighfestival.co.uk. By completing a booking, you agree to them. Hatherleigh Festival is a volunteer-run, non-profit community festival, and we’ve tried to keep these terms short and fair.

Your booking

Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis through our website. Your booking is confirmed once payment has been taken and you receive a confirmation email. Please check the details on your confirmation and let us know straight away if anything is wrong.

Where tickets are still available, we may also sell them on the door at the event.

Prices and payment

Ticket prices are shown on the website. For most events, any booking fees are included in the displayed price; for some events a booking fee is shown separately at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Stripe – we do not see or store your card details.

Age restrictions and concessions

Some events have age restrictions, child tickets, or concessions; others don’t. Where these apply, the details are shown on the event listing. Please check before booking. If you’re unsure whether an event is suitable, email us at and we’ll be happy to advise.

Refunds and changes by you

We don’t routinely offer refunds if you change your mind or can’t attend, but please get in touch – we’ll consider requests on a case-by-case basis, particularly if we’re able to resell your ticket. Email as soon as possible.

You’re welcome to pass your ticket to someone else if you can’t make it. If the booking includes attendee details (for example, names for a workshop), please let us know so we can update our records.

Cancellation or changes by us

If we have to cancel an event, you’ll be offered a full refund of the ticket price.

If we have to change the date, time, or venue, we’ll let you know as soon as possible. You can choose to keep your ticket for the rescheduled event or have a full refund.

Occasionally the running order, line-up, or programme of an event may need to change at short notice (for example, if a performer is unwell). Changes of this kind don’t normally entitle you to a refund, but we’ll always do our best to give you a good experience.

Conduct at events

We want all events to be enjoyable for everyone. We reserve the right to refuse entry, or to ask anyone to leave, whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or otherwise unreasonable. No refund will be given in these circumstances.

Photography and filming

We take photographs and sometimes video at festival events for use in festival publicity, on our website and social media, in future programmes, and in reports to funders. If you would prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please let a member of the festival team know at the event, or email us in advance at , and we’ll do our best to respect that.

Your information

Information you give us when booking is handled in line with our Privacy Policy, available on our website.

Liability

We organise the festival in good faith and take reasonable care to make events safe and enjoyable. You attend at your own risk, and we are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury except where caused by our negligence or where liability cannot be excluded by law. Please look after your personal belongings at events.
