Wildlife Photo 2025 Results

This year we ran a local wildlife photo competition during May and June.

Winner:

A touch of Summer Colour‘ – great photo showing the full colours of the yellowhammer, the darker sky also helps to contrast the vibrant colours of the bird.

Winner:

Buttercup is having fun‘ – These gorgeous dragonflies often don’t settle for long and can blend in, so often not easy to photograph and this shows off the full striped body and is enhanced by the diagonals in the picture.

Web of Life‘ – I love the way the light shows through the spiders web, illuminating the small offspring. Well done to spot this little nest of life.

Tiny night time visitor‘ – a lovely picture of a secretive little garden visitor, well done on getting down to her level, as is gives a great perspective as she moves across the lawn.

Dragonflies‘ – Lovely to see the delicate wings on the dragon flies. Well done for capturing these beautiful insects on the wing.

Quarry Fish‘ – The camouflage of these small fish against the rocks in the stream can be very hard to photograph, congratulations on getting this image.
