SUMMARY:'Poetic Hunts' - Edward Tripp and Chris White
DESCRIPTION:Join Edward Tripp and Chris White on their big Poetic Hunt! A silly and subversive hour of comedy\, poetry\, live music and absolute filth. \n\n\n\nPlus\, live music from Dave Holwill and an audience Limerick competition!  \n\n\n\nGet involved by writing an original limerick ahead of the night and reading it onstage. The best 2 limerick writers will then have 10 mins to write a new limerick on the spot. The winner will receive a handmade prize\, donated by Hatherleigh Pottery. \n\n\n\n\n\nEdward Tripp is an award-winning Irish stand-up poet\, with a penchant for the surreal. He’s performed up and down the UK\, from Just the Tonic in Edinburgh to the London Museum of Comedy. Whether screaming about spatulas or soliloquising about Uncle Connor “who isn’t in the IRA\,” Ed’s a prop-heavy and provocative performer.  \n\n\n\n\n“A roaring fire of absurd wit” – Corr Blimey\, \n\n\n\n\nChris White is a performer\, poet and the soggiest bottom in all Exeter. The founder of Spork! Poetry\, a multiple slam winner\, and the first Riddler in Residence at Exeter Cathedral. He’s performed all over from Shambala to Tongue Fu\, as well as on buses and boats. Writing silly words about queerness\, identity and ducks.  \n\n\n\n\n“A knack for humour that can make you sigh in embarrassment\, while also crying with laughter.” – Bristol 24/7

SUMMARY:How Myth and Folk Tales can support us with Transforming Conflict
DESCRIPTION:Our Hatherleigh resident Storyteller and Conflict Transformation Facilitator presents an evening of old stories from across the world\, along with what we might learn from them to support us when conflict arises (as it inevitably and necessarily does). So that conflict resolves itself into the changes that were needed for growth and peace\, rather than compromise\, sacrifice or oppression. \n\n\n\n\n\nVenue:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Borage\, our Storyteller\n\n\n\nStoryteller\, Conflict Transformation Facilitator\, Mentor\, Ritual Ceremonialist\, Cultural Activist\, Market Gardner and now Hatherleigh resident. After 15 years working in mental health services I committed to heading upstream from society’s remedial response to the significant\, worsening problem of our collective mental and emotional stability\, to wrestle with it closer to source; our shared modern culture. Seven years later the result of this has become a way of tending to the (re-)emergence of what I call a ‘Hearth centred culture’ through a range of new (ancient) approaches. \n\n\n\n©stone@stonefree.org
