Hazaar are a six piece virtuosic klezmer band from Devon consisting of clarinet/sax, violin, flute, guitar, double bass and drums. A lively, energetic and versatile band that perform traditional klezmer music from the Balkans and beyond with a twist. Described as “Eastern European Yiddish folk-rock”, Hazaar combine elements of funk, rock, Klezmer and gypsy jazz within their infectious arrangements. Instantly recognisable, Hazaar are the leading band on the Klezmer scene in Devon. Performing across the South West with their upbeat, high octane sound, they are a force to be reckoned with.
