Educational talk, tour and demonstration with Ben May and his heavy horses at Lower Upcott Farm. Learn how Shire horses can be used in market gardening!

After the talk, which will last about an hour, you can have a closer look at the horses and if you bring a picnic there are lots of lovely spots to sit and enjoy the farm.

Directions from Hatherleigh: From Park Road/Victoria Road, proceed up the hill and onto the top moor. Go past the William Morris Monument on your left, and then turn right at Deckport Cross. Proceed for approximately one mile, Lower Upcott will be found on your left hand side.
