New dates and a new venue for the 2009 Hatherleigh Festival. This is a 'compact', 'gap year', 'slightly reduced' Festival – but it will still be great, with exciting acts and events, just not quite as much of it!

What's on?

Two superb Classical Concerts, art exhibitions and on Saturday – workshops, art activities and stalls with live music, street theatre and a locally made and produced film festival, with a brilliantly bizarre and hilarious comedy variety show in the evening - all at the community Centre, or in its grounds

Kite flying and picnics on Sunday, events around town and lots, lots more....hopefully all on this site soon.

Why the changes?

There is so much going on in July that we compete for press coverage, acts and artists, stallholders and audiences, this new date is a bit of a trial run, as is holding the main Saturday activities in the grounds of the Community Centre. This should give the Town square residents a bit of a rest and it is far easier to Coordinate, talking of which, we need a new Coordinator asap. Claire Gladstone who will have Coordinated the Festival for 10 years, is moving on to other things and the Committee are looking for some help to re-organise and reinvigorate the fabulous Hatherleigh Arts Festival for the future.
