A rare showing of a classic animated film by the studio who produced the Betty Boop. Popeye and Superman series. Gulliver’s Travels was only the second animated feature, made in response to Disney’s Snow White. A commercial success and nominated for 2 Oscars, it is a captivating and charming classic that will thrill children from 7 to 70
Nicola will guide budding portrait artists through the process of capturing the essential character of the sitter(s) on paper. Choosing the setting, the pose, what to wear, and the medium. How to use light, objects and shapes to form your composition. Everything to relax the subject, make them feel comfortable, and at the same time revealing their own essential characters. All materials Supplied.
Two men called Rob and Dave find new friends, add percussion and vocals to present an acoustic set of contemporary classics
A second chance to catch Nicola who, happily, seems to be all over this Festival.
Central Casting is Douglas E Powell’s new band. Douglas is a singer songwriter living in North Devon. He writes songs in the alt-folk style with a hint of Americana. Douglas plays acoustic guitar, accompanied by harmonica and vocal. Tipping his hat to his musical heroes Dylan, Young and Jansch. His live performances are intensely charged with deeply personal lyrics over gritty and beautifully simplistic guitar work. Douglas has written and produced two albums, The Still and West and The Iron Coast.
Born out of the long winter of 2010, Central Casting were originally conceived as a backing band for Douglas, but it was clear from the start that the musical chemistry was too great to be a mere backing band. Central Casting’s musical influences range from traditional English folk, and Americana, to punk. But these eclectic influences aside Central Casting have a true folk music theme at its core. Douglas kicks off tonight solo, with guitar and harmonica. He will then be joined by new band mates on bass, fiddle, banjo, and cajon drum with 3 part harmonies. Central Casting will be releasing a studio album in the autumn of 2010.

Having met Madness back in 2004 Ultimate Madness were given the thumbs up by Suggs and the boys. The performance is delivered at a blistering pace with a few ska classics thrown in by The Specials, Bad Manners, The band has only one thing on their mind when they go on stage and that is to create the ultimate ska party, refreshing the nutty parts other Madness tributes cannot reach.
“Ultimate Madness are quite superb.” The Stage, 2004“This is the best tribute I have seen for a long time.” Scootering Magazine, 2004
One of the biggest events of the Festival, NOT to be missed.
