Working Horses Then and Now

Join Ben and Larry May at Lower Upcott Farm just outside Hatherleigh and meet their working shire horses. Ben will discuss the horses historical importance to the working life and economy of towns such as Hatherleigh in the 18th and 19th centuries, their demise during the 20th Century, and the working role that they have to play at Lower Upcott Farm in the 21st Century.
