Unity Gospel Choir Workshop
The choir are just back from a weekend in London and are absolutely buzzing. We have officially joined forces with some singers from Chagford and are now known as Unity Gospel Choir. We have just had the privilege of taking part in the London Community Gospel Choir’s 30 year anniversary and were part of a Guiness World Record attempt for the biggest Gospel Choir performance. Yes, we achieved it. At the Festival Hall on the South Bank on Sunday evening, giving a performance of Oh Happy Day, there were 1168 voices!
Under the musical direction of Jon Bint, the Unity Gospel Choir are made up of voices from the market towns of Chagford and Hatherleigh, and places in between.
