Welcome to Hatherleigh Festival 2013
In this, our 18th year, the Festival will once again be centered around the Town Square Marquee. We aim to provide as many free events as possible but to do this, we need your help.
Please drop your loose change into the yellow buckets, buy a draw ticket, go to an event, have a go at the tombola and don’t forget to re-fuel at the Pig Roast.
To make sure you don’t miss out get your tickets early from The Pottery Box Office or The Paper Shop. Alternatively you can send your booking form to the Box Office with a S.A.E.
Images and Memories from 2012 at the Community Centre
We are delighted that Netty Holwill took a lot of candid and natural photos of people enjoying themselves at this year’s Festival.
They are on display in the Community Centre entrance hall and can be obtained from her. There are order forms at the Community Centre or you can email Netty.
Felt Wall Hanging
A big thank you to all who contributed, in any way, to the making of the felt hanging during the Hatherleigh Festival. Yesterday I delivered the hanging to Devon Artist Network as it will be displayed for the Devon Open Studio launch at Exeter Chapter Hotel (the old eye hospital that was Hotel Barcelona for a time). The piece will be displayed there from 4-7pm on 30th August.
After that it will return to Hatherleigh where we hope to find it a more permanent home.
Best wishes and thanks to all.
Isabella
Update
The Wall Hanging has been completed by ladies at Angels and Petals and Isabella’s home. 36 people in total were involved.
Devon Artist Network Open Studios runs from 8th-23rd September.
We hope that the hanging will eventually find a permanent home in Hatherleigh Church.
