It’s over now…

As the Great Luther Vandross said ‘It’s Over Now’ …

Festival 2011 has officially ended and what a great Festival it was this year.

Circus Workshop, Take That Experience, Zuby, Black Friday to name but a few.

The Art Exhibition was well attended with 300 people through the door in Old Schools on Saturday alone.

I want to thank the committee of people who made the whole weekend possible, Terence , Becky, Mark, Bryn, Olivia, Di, Mike and Sue.  It was hard work to put on for just 8 of us and  think that next year we need more help so watch this space…..

Festival Kicks off…………….

Festival has kicked off – The circus workshop was a roaring success and the parade was spectacular – well done to all who took part you looked amazing. The Hatherleigh Silver Band played a set which set us up for Festival nicely.
Edd Lane and Mariners Away played in The George Hatherleigh and the Tally Ho! pubs and I thought that they sounded fantastic and where enjoyed by all who was there.

Funny, Touching Play……

Tickets are still available for:

Two Halves of Guinness    Two Halves of Guinness

Mark Burgess lively and funny play sees Trevor Littledale offer an uncanny portrayal of one of the worlds best-loved stars reflecting on acting, faith, family and his shattering insecurity, played to a background of the golden days of British film and theatre.

We join Sir Alec in the late 70s, as Star Wars is set to become one of the biggest films of all time, featuring his iconic performance as Obi-Wan Kenobi. Amidst fears he will be remembered only as a Jedi, Sir Alec hadn’t counted on the involvement of a master spy…

‘A first-rate performance: this is a great piece of writing, directing and acting.’ The Latest Brighton

‘I don’t know what else I could do but pretend to be an actor.’ Alec Guinness

tickets available from Hatherleigh Pottery on 01837 810624 or pop into the Pottery or Papershop in Hatherleigh

7 days to go…

This years Hatherleigh Festival is in just one week.

the committee have been working like trojans to get things organised and have done a fantastic job.  We have a great line up this year and I wish that I could do all of the workshops myself.

The music line up this year is second to none and I know that you will enjoy all 4 days.

The Art Exhibitions see some talented Local Artists showing us their fantastic peices.  These artists are all part of the Devon Artist Network and they will play host to a fantastic Print Workshop in the Vine on Saturday, which is free and for all to enjoy you can stay as long as you like.
